Organizational Structure Retreat will be held 3/24/2012.
Agenda items are being firmed up, but communication to the neighborhood will be
a big topic. Time and venue to be determined. If you are interested in knowing
more or participating in in the retreat. All are welcome to attend! Email us at
http://longfellowkc.org/
There has been much concern voiced by some attendees of the
lack of a newsletter. Figuring out how to sustain a newsletter will be a big
topic at the organizational retreat. If you are interested in working on a newsletter or have ideas about how to create a
sustainable newsletter, please contact us at http://longfellowkc.org/
Suggestions at the meeting included a one-sheet ?Letter from the President/View from the President?s Porch? update in the interim and using Lawn & Leaf Brigade volunteers to assist with distribution.
Discussed the City Council district lines which have been redrawn. Longfellow now straddles the 3rd & 4th District (Charlotte is the dividing line). Ward 1 boundary has moved from Troost to Campbell, so the neighborhood is now in both Ward 1 & Ward 2. This gives us more Council members to pester! Meeting adjourned.
